How to Make Google Respect Your Brand and Website?
So here’s a little secret…
Website design is important — vital, actually.
But what’s happening internally and behind the scenes of a website?
That’s where real strategy happens.
The behind-the-scenes structure of a website, combined with great design — that’s my favorite part.
Okay, love bug, back to business.
Today, we’re talking about another one of my favorite platforms: Google.
One of the things I love about Google is that it’s not messy. Google does not play popularity games.
It rewards websites based on logic and clear details — not random trends.
And the good news? As a business owner with a content-driven website, you can earn that respect.
And honestly, that’s the kind of partnership that deserves the effort — because it will reward you back.
We’re talking traffic, trust, and growth for your business.

Alright — let’s dive in.
Here are 3 Ways to Make Google Respect Your Brand and Website
1. Google Wants to Know the Whole Story — Give It to Them 🤝
Google isn’t just glancing at your homepage and leaving.
It’s binge-watching your entire site like a series, checking if every page tells the same story.
If your homepage is polished, but your About page or Services page feels rushed — and if the back end of your website isn’t structured properly — Google takes that as a red flag.
So here’s what some people may not know…
Google’s watching everything.
So here’s what you want to do:
Keep it simple: Make sure every page — big or small — matches in tone, structure, and overall vibe. And make sure what’s happening in the back end of your website matches, too.
A solid story across the board tells Google you’re serious — and serious brands get recommended.
2. Internal Links Are Like Gold
So once you get a good amount of blog posts on your blog, one of the things you’re going to want to do is implement internal linking.
What is internal linking?
It’s simply linking from one blog post or page on your site to another related post or page. Think of it as naturally guiding your readers to more of your content — and helping Google understand how your site is connected.
Now, this may seem like a small thing.
But love bug, it’s not.
With Google, it creates a big trust factor, which leads to better ranking, better positioning, and yes, a lot more website traffic.
Here’s why internal linking matters so much:
Here are a few stats to consider:
So, like gold? Absolutely. Internal links might not look flashy, but done consistently, they quietly build serious respect with Google — and that respect pays off.
3. Don’t Hold Back
One of the things I share often — and what we’ll be diving deep into inside our Global Blogging Business Packages — is how to fully show up for their audience.
Though knowing who you are is obviously vitally important for your business, it’s also just as important to know who they are — your target audience, or who I like to call your soul tribe — and meeting them in the middle.
One of the best ways to make sure you’re not holding back is by creating content that actually lights you up. I look for this when deciding which clients to work with because it’s such a huge factor in long-term success.
Why This Matters
Because creating original content consistently is one of the keys to earning Google’s respect.
How often you post depends on your goals. Whether it’s once a week, every three days, or daily, the goal is to stay as consistent as possible. That doesn’t mean you can’t miss a week here or there, but the more steady you are, the more Google will reward you.
The Science Behind It
So how does Google know you’re being consistent?
Here’s how Google knows you’re consistent:
Every time you post, Google indexes your content — either automatically through your sitemap or manually if you submit it via Google Search Console (which I recommend doing both).
And the more often Google indexes your blog posts, the more frequently it crawls your site.
That repeated crawling signals to Google that you’re regularly publishing fresh, valuable content — and it rewards that effort with better visibility over time.
And while there are some things I only share with my private clients, here’s what I’ll tell you: you still need to give enough value in your public content. Blogging isn’t just about keeping current clients happy — it’s also one of the best ways to attract new ones.
By the way, if you want to know how to set up your Google Search Console and submit each blog post directly to Google, here’s a Google Search Console Series you can follow:
In Conclusion
As a business owner building an online business — specifically one focused on a content-driven website as your primary place for content — there are a few partnerships worth giving real attention to. And Google, no doubt, is one of them.
Not just because it handles billions of searches per day (though that fact alone is huge), but because that’s where your audience is actively searching for answers.
And get this — it’s completely free. It doesn’t get any better than that. No ad spend required. All it takes is passion for your topic, passion for your audience, and the right strategy.
