Let me take you back to the moment Blogging for Africa was born.
I created this brand from a place of personal discovery. Is that any surprise? Dun, dun, dun? Probably not. But yes — we’re going back about four years, to a time when I was knee-deep in self-discovery, learning about myself, my family, and the deeper “why” behind my gifts.
At that time, I was already in marketing, already an entrepreneur, already creating content.
So no — I didn’t wake up one morning and decide, “Hey, I think I’ll start blogging.” I already had a solid foundation in business and creativity.
But during this particular season of self-discovery, I started uncovering why I was naturally good at certain things — marketing, creativity, innovation, content strategy — and, no surprise, a lot of it tied back to my family lineage.
My Roots Made It Make Sense
My father’s lineage traces back to Sierra Leone, and my mother’s through Nigerian roots and the deeper I looked into my family history, the more I understood why I was so passionate about creating, building, and teaching.
The Download That Changed Everything
At some point, I hit a crossroad. I was asking myself, “Okay, how can I use these gifts to make a real difference — not just for me, but for my lineage, my people, and humanity as a whole?”
And then, like most of my best ideas, it came as a download. I was literally walking around the house when it dropped in my spirit:
Blogging for Africa.
Instantly, I was like, “Wait, that’s it. But surely someone’s already doing this?” Nope. No one was.
So, I secured the domains, trademarked the brand. And after a social media launch in 2024 — and what I consider the redesign and official Blogging for Africa launch in May 2025 — I went all in, shaping it into what you see today.
Why Blogging for Africa Exists
My goal? To serve Africa and the global African diaspora — from the continent to America, the UK, and everywhere else in between — and to serve humanity as a whole by teaching entrepreneurs how to build content-driven websites and blogs that actually work, crafting every detail from the inside out.
Because here’s the thing: when Africa and the African diaspora win, everybody has a chance to win together.
However, there is a serious need for strategy, ownership, and platforms that carry the voices, talent, the skills, and yes, the businesses globally.
Where We’re Headed
I’m excited about where we are now, but I’m even more excited about what’s coming. Daily blogging, global marketing insights, and a brand new wave of entrepreneurs rising—building with clarity and confidence that’s the vision.
So, love bug, stay tuned. This is just the beginning.
