Innovation is simply bringing a fresh idea, perspective, or improvement to the marketplace.
And here’s something important to remember…
This isn’t something you have to go far outside of yourself to find.
It isn’t somewhere out there waiting to be discovered.
It’s already in you.

2. Love Your People
Okay, first things first…
you want to know your people — but more than that, you want to truly love on them.
So what do I mean?
There are so many ways to do this, but it really starts with one thing:

Here are a few questions to ask:
• What are they saying they need right now?
• What do they specifically want from you?
Because what someone may want from a tire shop…is not going to be the same thing they’d desire from a nail salon.
• What kind of lifestyle are they desiring overall — and how do your products or services fit into that?
• What are they struggling with the most right now?
• What kind of content or environment would feel best to them when engaging with your brand?
• What would their ideal outcome look like if everything went perfectly while working with you or experiencing your content?
• How do you want your audience to feel on a consistent basis?
And lastly…
How can you show up for them consistently in a way that still honors you — your gifts, your talents, your skill set, and the lifestyle you actually want?

But because of so much outside consumption…
They can start to question their gut.
That idea.
That random thought.
Instead of trusting it, they filter it through others’ opinions.
So if you’ve been around here for any length of time… you already know something we’re big on:

And we’re also big on the power of originality.
Believing that each individual has something special to bring — in their own way — to their business, to their clients, and to the marketplace.
And something you may not know…

Outside of maybe data or information-based insights,
a lot of the inspiration I get comes from within — or from completely random, everyday moments.

and something just clicks.

One of the things businesses have been taught is to stay within the region they started in…
to remain local — even when they’re fully capable of expanding.
But think about this for a second …
When you look at how countries operate, they’re constantly doing business with one another.
They trade, they exchange, they collaborate…
They do business with each other.
So when it comes to your business…
consider this: as the world becomes more connected, building a business that can cross multiple borders…is smart.

“What if my business is actually local?”
Meaning — you serve a specific area, and your market is right there.
That’s a conversation we’ll dive into later…because there is real power in local businesses.
