So you’ve created an Epic blog post, but there’s just one thing left to do.
You need to add some beautiful images to give your content that it factor.
You could just publish it without adding photos, but you know by adding awesome photography,
you will get more shares, repens, and comments.
So you begin searching Pinterest and Google and you find a ton of gorgeous photography
and you think, why don’t I just use these?
Well, not so fast.
99% of those photos are not free or they have some type of limitations on how they can be
used.
In fact, most online graphics fall under basic copyright laws, which states that you
are financially liable for using copyrighted images on your website.
That includes for graphics, ebooks, cover photos, or any other design.
So before you reuse that image from Google or Pinterest or anywhere else for that matter,
just make sure that you have the legal rights to do so.
Not just to protect your business, but also to give the person who’s selling the photo
a fair financial exchange.
So what should you do instead?
Well, you could just take your own photos and touch them up and reuse them, but more than
likely, you’re probably a very busy entrepreneur like the rest of us and you have no interest
in becoming a part-time photographer.
So in this case, you have two options left.
You could buy stock photography or you can get your photos from a free online resource.
But even with these, I typically utilize free mock-ups.
In this post, I will be sharing the exact websites that I get my copyright-free photography
from.
Before I share the list, I want to caution you to always make sure that you read the
frequently asked questions or the terms and conditions on each website.
If they’re available, some of the websites, these are not available.
But you really want to read it because some of the websites may have certain limitations
on the free offer.
For instance, some sites require you to reference the photographer when using the photo and
other sites may limit what you can utilize your photos for.
So you just want to double-check and always be under their, you know, following their
terms and conditions.
