SEO Tips to Boost Your Brand and Business Visibility (UPDATED) 🥂
Growing a business online means there are a ton of factors to keep in mind, but one of the BIGGEST is SEO. Which is one of the most powerful ways to boost your brand and business visibility longterm.
So, when I first started blogging, getting serious about search engines was a must and as much as I would love to say it’s because I loveee Google (hey Google) ummm that’s not quiteee the case hahaha.
While I definitely use Google like most people for my primary searches, the real reason I chose to focus on search engines for business growth is simple: it’s a powerful long-term strategy. Yes, it takes time for Google to recognize your content-driven website, but once it does, honeyyy, the rewards are like gold and they keep coming in on autopilot.
Anddd it’s not just Google; people are turning to other major search engines like Yahoo, Bing, and even social search engines like YouTube and Pinterest.
But what is SEO and why exactly should you focus on SEO for your business anyways? Great question.
In this blog, we’ll be diving deep on what SEO actually is and how you can utilize it to increase your brand and business visibility.
So let’s dive in shall we 🥂
So what is SEO? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization and it refers to the process of optimizing your website and or content in order to rank higher in visibility on search engines like Google, Yahoo or Bing.
By focusing on SEO (Search Engine Optimization) you increase the chances of your website being visible for keyword terms that your audience is searching for.
So I like to think of SEO like a personal concierge: the search engines are delivering the highest quality websites for what the user is searching for and your goal as a business owner is to be that website.
But how do you do it?
In this blog post, I’m diving into what the data reveals about what businesses can do to level up their SEO and increase brand and business visibility. So, let’s start with the basics…
Let’s talk about why a User Experience (UX) is the Secret Sauce to Boosting Your SEO.
What is User Experience (UX) and why is it important for your SEO strategy?
UX is all about how visitors interact with your website and how easy, enjoyable, and seamless that experience is. From the moment someone lands on your page, their experience—whether it’s how fast the page loads, how easy it is to find what they’re looking for, or how pleasant the design feels—plays a big role in their decision to stay, browse, and take action.

So what are focused keywords?
Focused keywords for a blog post are specific, relevant terms or phrases that are central to the topic of your content. These keywords help search engines understand the primary subject of your post, and they help improve the post’s ranking higher in search results.
You can use your focus keywords by mixing in variations, adding them naturally throughout your blog, and using long-tail keywords for more specific searches.
However, while utilizing focused keywords is important for your blog content creation process, which will help you gain website traffic for your business based on what the user is searching for, having focused keywords on your blog is not the only thing you want to pay attention to.
You also want to pay attention to search intent.
Creating content that aligns with the intent behind a user’s search query will tailor your content to address your target audience’s specific need, which will increase your website’s overall engagement and improve SEO.
So, when creating your content, you want to ask questions like: Are the users looking for information, looking to make a purchase, or seeking answers to a specific question?
Another way to increase your search engine optimization is to create great direct content.
Creating direct, quality, informative content within your niche will help Google eventually recognize your blog as a good resource to send traffic to but what is good content?
Good content can fall into a couple of categories; here are a few:
Schema Markup is essentially a “roadmap” for search engines, guiding them to understand exactly what your content is about so they can display it more effectively in search results.
Search engines rely on structured data to get a clearer, more organized picture of your content.
For instance, if you run a recipe blog, schema markup helps Google show your recipe’s ingredients, cooking time, and ratings directly in search results, saving users time and increasing the chance of clicks.
Some benefits of adding Schema Markup coding:
For example, let’s say you had a recipe blog:
Without structured data, a basic search result might look like this:
With schema markup, search engines can display additional information directly in the search result, like this:
This additional information is made possible through schema markup, making the search result much more informative and eye-catching, which increases the likelihood of users clicking on it.

Another easy but super effective tip for getting your brand and business noticed by search engines: add internal links to your blog posts! Basically, internal linking involves adding links from your existing blog posts to the current one.
So here are a few benefits of internal linking:
Add external links from credible sources to your blog.
Backlinks offer several key benefits for SEO, including improving search engine rankings, increasing organic traffic, enhancing website indexing, boosting domain authority, and increasing credibility. They also drive referral traffic and create opportunities for content discovery, helping to expand your reach and brand visibility.
You also want to be sure to create clean, descriptive, and concise URLs that reflect the content of the page. Avoid long strings of numbers or irrelevant characters. Including a keyword in the URL can also be helpful.
For example, a URL like “www.example.com/blog/seo-friendly-urls” is much more user- and SEO-friendly than “www.example.com/blog/?id=12345“. Including relevant keywords in the URL can give your content a ranking boost, as search engines view it as an indication of the page’s relevancy to a search query.
So another little tip to get better SEO is to be sure to break your content up with text, heading, bullet points and short paragraphs.
Content that is easy to read and digest encourages users to stay longer on your site, which can improve SEO.

Also, I highly recommend setting up your Google Console which is an essential tool for blogging. It will help you monitor your blog’s performance, optimize your content, fix errors, and ensure your site is meeting SEO best practices, leading to better rankings and more traffic.
Bonus Tip: I recommend using the Yoast SEO WordPress plugin for your blog posts. It makes optimizing your content for specific keywords easier, helping you improve your SEO score and enhance your visibility in search results.
