7 Content Creation Trends in 2025 Every Smart Business Should Know!
Hey love bug 💛 it’s that time againnn…
Today, I want to chit-chat about something pretty major when it comes to doing business online — and that’s content creation.
Especially with so many content creation trends in 2025 already shifting how businesses show up, I knew it was time to break things down clearly.
Not only am I diving into some fresh, up-to-date stats that matter for your business, but I also want to share my take on where content-driven websites fit into it all.
Because let’s be real — content is everywhere.
But first things first…
What even is content creation?
Why does it matter so much for your business?
And even deeper — what role do websites play in this whole scheme of things moving forward?
Let’s get into it.
So, what is content creation anyway?
Content creation is the process of creating content — whether that’s text, media, audio, or photos — either online or offline, specifically for a target audience.
Now, as much as some people might think content creation only exists online…
Well, not exactly.
It’s actually been around since the beginning of time.
Let me explain.
Content creation is really just the act of putting some kind of media into the world — something you can see, hear, read, or experience. That’s it.
Kind of simple to understand, huh? Yeahhh, here on the blog, we like to keep concepts simple and clear.
Why? Because if you’re just getting started, I never want you to feel lost in the sauce — or like you need to crack some science code just to understand how all this works.
Like… come on now, who has time for that?✨
Okay, back to business💼
While content creation has always been a thing, what’s changed dramatically is how we do it — and the tech involved.
From AI tools to TikTok trends to blog strategies that actually bring in traffic?
Content has evolved fast.
But here’s the part that matters most:
What content shifts are happening right now — and how will they impact your business?
Because if you’re trying to grow your brand, reach more people, or increase sales, you need to be up to speed on what’s changing in the world of content creation.
So let’s talk about it.
Why These Content Creation Trends in 2025 Actually Matter for Your Business📈
1. It’s a reminder to play the Long Game — Not Just the Short Ones
In a world obsessed with going viral and chasing numbers, let’s be real: that quick-win mindset? It’s cute… but ironically, it can become the longest route to true success.
What actually moves the needle for your business is strategy, consistency, and long-term vision.
Now this is where I usually get some pushback—but I’m gonna stand on business, because it’s true. Yes, consistency is important. Just like hard work, it matters. But let’s ask a better question: Consistency where?
If you’re a business owner (not a social media influencer), your time and energy deserve to be spent differently. Those roles are not the same. And yes, I actually break this down more in my post: Business Owner vs. Social Media Influencer: What You Need to Know! If you’re curious whether you’re operating as a business owner or an influencer—or trying to do both.
Back to the point: every niche, platform, and strategy varies. All platforms have their own superstars who make it look easy. But not all platforms are equal, and not all platforms are worth your energy.
Let me explain.
You only have so much time in a day. And whether you realize it or not, every time you post, comment, reply, or engage online, you’re giving away a little bit of your energy. Sometimes a lot.
Content creation isn’t just about dropping a quick text, photo, or video. It’s an energy exchange. Don’t get weirded out—we exchange energy all day: at the grocery store, at the gym, giving someone a compliment, sending a text. It’s part of being human.
So if you’re going to give your energy, let it be on the right platform with the right long-term strategy.
Here’s the flak part: social media is not the end-all-be-all of content creation. I know, I know. I use it too. It’s great for brand awareness and connection—but it doesn’t get the bulk of my energy.
More and more businesses are sinking hours into content that lives 24 hours and dies with the algorithm. Meanwhile, they could be building assets that have long lifespans: blogs, evergreen videos, searchable pins, and podcast episodes.
In fact, blog content can continue bringing in traffic for 10 years or more — and in some cases, a lifetime, and Pinterest pins can resurface and go viral even months after posting. Compare that to Instagram, where engagement drops off in under 48 hours.
A recent report from **Hubspot found that 53% of marketers say blog content is their most important inbound strategy. And **video marketers generate 66% more qualified leads per year than those who don’t use video.
Even **podcasting is growing fast, with 42% of Americans (aged 12+) listening to at least one podcast each month—many tuning in for business, wellness, or entrepreneurial content.
Meanwhile, social media content gives the perception of ease—but it often takes more time, energy, and emotional effort to maintain than long-form evergreen strategies.
That’s why I believe in blogging, Pinterest, YouTube, podcasting and email marketing as the pillars of long-game content. Social media? That’s the amplifier. It boosts the content, but it’s not the core.
Because let’s be honest:
You can go viral today and still feel stuck next month. But a blog post, a lead-generating video, or a podcast that solves a real problem? That’s a real game plan — foundation first, then fun.
Perspective shift: Prioritize the numbers that grow your business — not just the ones that can temporarily boost your mood.

2. Original Content Wins the Long Game
Ok love bug, before we dive in, I have to plug this: How to Build a Business You’ll Love — Kendrick Lamar Style!. It goes deep into this exact point, but let’s expand on why originality in content is such a game-changerrr.
We’ve all heard the advice: “Post daily! Show up all the time!” — but what often gets left out is this:
Sometimes as entrepreneurs — and let’s be real, we’ve all been here — we get so used to the idea of “daily posting” that we can lose our original spark if we’re not careful. Love bug, I don’t want that to be you, because YOU HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL!
See, originality isn’t just a marketing strategy. It’s a mindset. A commitment. And honestly? It’s something most successful entrepreneurs develop in quiet moments — away from the scroll, away from the noise, away from that urge to consume more strategies.
You’ve gotta slow down long enough to tap into what I call your “magic sauce.” That unique energy that only you bring.
And that magic sauce? It can’t be Googled. It’s uncovered when you:
✨ I dive deeper into this in another fave post: How to Create Fierce Content Effortlessly All Year Round. — it’s worth a read if you’re still finding your voice.
If you’re in that “Hmmm let me take a deeper look” phase right now, that’s totally fine. We’ve all been there. But once you discover and own your originality — your content will not blend in with the crowd. It will stand out.
And just so you know? This is the work we do with our clients behind the scenes — and something we’ll be expanding even more in our Global Blogging Business program ➤ Learn more here.
Because originality isn’t optional anymore — it’s the new standard.
🧠 Cool Stat: According to Tailor Brands, 80% of readers believe authentic content is the main factor that will drive them to follow or engage with a brand.
3. Reels Still Work — But Strategy Matters
So, full transparency here — I was going to leave this piece out of the convo today, BUT based on some of my own internal revelations and shifts surrounding what platforms like Instagram really mean (or don’t mean) for my business, I felt it was worth sharing.
Instagram Reels still work. They do. But the strategy behind them matters more than ever.
Here’s a little secret I’ve learned — and even teach my clients:
Having a solid, unshakable business foundation allows you to post on Instagram with ease… and way less stress.
I can’t tell you how many posts I see from entrepreneurs feeling frustrated by likes and comments. And while engagement can be helpful, it’s definitely not the full story.
Here’s the truth: if your content is solid, relevant, and truly valuable, you’re building a brand portfolio — even when the numbers don’t reflect it. Let’s say you got featured on Oprah and only 2 people liked the post.
Question: Does that take away from your Oprah moment? Umm… heck no.
And will your potential clients or collaborators care more about your 2 likes — or your* Oprah moment?** Exactly. Your Oprah moment — and the opportunities that come with it — far surpass the compass of social media.
Now imagine if your entire mindset was built on metrics over actual value.
Imagine ignoring your wins because they didn’t go “viral.”
Oprah’s just one example — use your major accomplishment or highlight as your own proof 😊.
Mindset shift, love bug: Once you’re grounded in your business, metrics won’t shake you.
You might get fewer likes showing your work, your product, or your behind-the-scenes process — but the right audience will see it. And they’ll engage in the ways that actually convert: inquiries, sales, partnerships.
According to a 2023 Statista report, Instagram’s global engagement rate continues to decline year after year. At the same time, platforms like Threads are showing that social proof isn’t what it used to be — people crave connection, not just clout.
So yes, reels still work. But strategy + alignment is what really unlocks their power.
4. Posting Rapid SM Content?
Alright, back to the chopping block for this one 😅 — but we’ve gotta talk about it.
When did “posting more” start getting confused with “bringing more value?”
Especially now — when so many people are experiencing information overload, particularly when it comes to more serious content — like promotional posts or business-related content.
Now don’t get me wrong — for entertainment and inspirational content, posting daily can make sense. Those niches are often viewed as a happy escape. But for business owners building a serious brand and offering meaningful transformation?
Posting every single day on “quick-metric” platforms — the kind that take a lot of energy to create for — isn’t always the smartest use of your time.
Personally, I naturally create better when I’m grounded, not grinding — and why not put your energy and words on platforms where they carry, where they’re safe, and where you own it.
It’s kind of like this: I’m more than willing to spend time at my own house — because it’s mine. But hanging out every day at someone else’s? Hmm… not so much.
According to the Content Marketing Institute, 74% of marketers saw better results when they prioritized quality over quantity in 2024.
HubSpot reports that 83% of marketers agree that focusing on quality — even with less frequent posting — leads to stronger engagement and results.
PointVisible found that 70% of B2B marketers now prioritize content quality over quantity in their strategies.
So what does that tell us?
Flooding the feed may not be the best strategy.
In fact according to stats brands that publish with purpose — like portfolio-style content — build trust faster and attract better partnerships.
Consumer Trust in Purpose-Driven Brands: A global study revealed that consumers are four to six times more likely to purchase from, trust, champion, and defend companies with a strong purpose. – Forbes
When you show up with real value and clarity, your audience will feel that.
And honestly? You’ll feel better too.
Your audience should also be able to find you on your primary platform — and if you’ve been here for any period of time, you already know why I highly suggest that platform be somewhere beyond just social media.
5. Tools Can Help — But Can’t Replace Vision
Ok so let’s chit chat for a second.
As a marketing agency we are big on using technology to help our processes regarding content creation and other things like design much easier. However, I have to say technology is simply a tool to make your original ideas, thoughts and vision a reality.
Scheduling tools and even AI tools can help for your business but to be honest I would HIGHLY recommend using them as a assistant and not to replace your original, thought, layout and or branding.
The truth is tools will never replace the vision, the voice, or the depth that YOU bring to your brand.
Because content without soul? It doesn’t sell. And it definitely doesn’t stick.
So while it’s okay to use helpful tools to support your process, just remember: your originality is the true strategy. The tech should follow your lead — not the other way around.
According to the Content Marketing Institute, 83% of top-performing marketers use tools with advanced analytics for scheduling and automation.
6. Video Isn’t Going Anywhere — Here’s Why.
Video, my friend is Queen!
Let’s be real — people trust what they can feel.
There’s just something about seeing your face, hearing your voice, or catching your vibe in motion. It connects instantly.
Whether it’s a 15-second reel or a short YouTube video, video content drives deeper engagement and attracts more qualified leads — especially when it’s done with purpose, not pressure.
📹 OptinMonster:
66% of video marketers say they get more qualified leads through video.
So no — video’s not going anywhere.
And if you’ve been thinking about starting small or showing up more…
this is your sign, love bug. 💛
7. Content Without Website Strategy = Lost Traffic
If video is queen — content-driven websites are KING. 👑
Because your website isn’t just where you drop a few blog posts…
It’s where your business lives and grows.
It’s where your content stays searchable, where your videos can boost SEO, and where you have complete ownership.
HubSpot:
Companies with blogs get 67% more leads per month than those without.
And let’s be real:
If your Instagram is popping but your website is crickets?
You’re building momentum on someone else’s platform.
