You’ve heard the stories of other bloggers making positive impact and you want to be the next success story.
However, you don’t want to build any type of blog…
You want to create a blog that matches your personality, ambitions, and goals.
You also do not want to take years to see results for your business but you want to see results as quickly as possible.
But how do you do it?
Great question.
In this blog post, we’ll cover how to grow your blog fast as a brand-new blogger so let’s dive in.
Step One: Writing down what you see.
Many times as entrepreneurs were taught to be concerned with the “how to information” but the first step is to see the vision.
In order to determine what kind of business you want you have to see it in your mind first and even better embrace how it would feel to have already accomplished what you want.
So here are just a few questions to help you determine what you see/want.
Side Note: Getting in a quiet place with a pen and paper can really help answer these questions
Don’t worry about the how to that will come later just write down whatever you see, feel and want. Have Fun!! 😊
Questions:
These are just a few questions to start with however feel free to go as in depth as you need to in your quite time to get even more clear on the vision.
Side Note: Whatever you write down I want you to keep in front of you during your blogging journey and if you’re a visual person consistently adding inspirational photos that reflect your goals from a private Pinterest or Twitter account can be very beneficial.
Step Two: Getting Clear On Your Audience and Niche.
So you may have heard new advice from content creators to not niche for your business and while this may make sense for some businesses let me be the first to say that advice does not quite apply to most brands and niches and definitely not the best strategy for blogging.
Choosing a target audience and niche for your blog is crucial to achieving blog success and before we dive deeper into why let’s discuss the difference between your target audience and your niche. Because I’m fully aware it’s easy to get the two mixed up in thinking their the same however they are different and here’s how.
A target audience – Your target audience are the people you would like to work with within your business. They are also the group of people who are most likely to support your content and purchase what you have to offer.
Your Niche – Your niche represents the specific type of content you’ll be offering to your audience.
So, for example, let’s say I wanted to start a business helping mothers with pregnancy preparation, parenting tips, and services. In this case, mothers would be my target audience.
However, your Niche would be the type of content that you choose to create for your audience.
The two ways you can choose your niche:
By Topic: When you only blog about a specific topic. For instance, you could start a blog only discussing the topic of “expecting moms” and some topics could be “Pregnancy Symptoms”, “Choosing the best doctor”, “Setting up the baby nursury”, “Preparing the delivery bag”, “how to bond with the baby before birth” ext.
You can also blog By Demographic: This is when you blog to a specific group of people but you provide a variety of topics to the group.
For instance, your target audience can be “moms” and you don’t just have to discuss one topic like “expecting moms” but you can discuss everything about moms, like pregnancy topics, raising toddlers, teens ext.
So what are the benefits of choosing a specific target audience and niche for your blog?
– Faster Growth!
One of the biggest benefits of choosing a specific audience and niche for your blog is you’re going to grow faster.
There are a few reasons for this but one of the main reasons is because of search engine optimization.
Google lovesss niche-related blogs and places them in the “expert” category.
Being considered an expert by Google is important because when Google considers your blog as an expert resource they will recommend your blog to users who are searching for the topics that your blog covers.
The key is to utilize keywords that your target audience is searching for and provide value by answering their questions and discussing topics they are wanting to know more about.
– Your audience will love you for it.
Having a specific niche will allow your audience to feel like your blog was created just for them which will build rapport, create expert positioning and provide a great place to hang out and trust me they will love you for it.
Think about it.
Imagine walking into Petsmart looking for products for your dog and instead of finding a lot of products for your puppy you find a few products but the rest of the store is filled with car repair products, home improvement items, furniture for sale, technology for your phone ext.
I’m sure you would be a little confused about what store you just walked into right?
Is it Walmart or PetSmart?
If you go to Petsmart you of course your looking to find products for pets.
If you go to Walmart your expected to find pet items combined with a host of other things.
Which leads to another question.
Can I be the Walmart of blogging? Meaning should I cater to multiple audiences and multiple topics at once? The answer is you can.
However the process of building your business can take 5-10 years or more and that’s because not only will your audience be confused by who you are and what you offer, but so will the search engines and having your audience and the search engines confused is not good my friend.
As tempting as it may be to want to dibble and dabble in everything I wouldn’t recommend it.
There is no reason to try to master multiple niches at once when starting your business one niche at a time is the best route to go.
Being the Petsmart vs. Walmart in the blogging world will help you achieve faster results, especially as a brand-new blogger.
Step Three: Choosing The Best Blogging Platform.
The next step to creating your blogging business is to choose the best blogging platform.
This step is crucial because the blogging platform that you choose can have a direct impact on so many important things like your site speed, site bandwidth, SEO capabilities, design functionalities ext.
Here are the three top blogging platforms to choose from.
WordPress: WordPress hands down is the best option for versatility, and Seo compatibility and is great for beginners or advanced users. With WordPress there are free and paid design templates that you can utilize however if you’re looking for a more unique look and don’t have the budget to hire a website designer WordPress may not be the best.
While there are a ton of WordPress templates that are beautiful and will work perfectly if your someone looking to have a more custom look and feel to your site and you’re not a designer WordPress can be lacking here.
To utilize WordPress for business you will need your domain name which I recommend Godaddy.com and you’ll also need hosting which should cost $15 or less and Hostgator is a great place to start.
Showit. co: Showit.co is a perfect fit for brand-new or advanced bloggers who want to have a blog with great design and WordPress blogging capability. Showit.co offer free design templates and an easy to use drag and drop website design interface.
With showit.co you do not need a separate hosting package because they will host your website for you and the cost to get started blogging with Showit ranges from $29-39 per month.
Squarespace: Squarespace is another great blogging option; they offer a 14-day free trial and have great design templates and a drag-and-drop website design interface.
There are other blogging platforms that you can utilize like Wix, and Weebly however at this point I can’t recommend them for starting your blogging business with due to slow site speed, limited SEO capabilities, bad site performance ext.
Once you’ve chosen your blog platform the next step is to make sure your site is set up to convert visitors into email subscribers and customers. I dive deeper into how to set up your website to convert in my Called To Blog Free E-Course so be sure to get it here 😊
Step Four: Turning Your Blog Into Profits
Blogging has become a popular avenue for earning online whether you are passionate about travel, fashion, technology, or personal finance, blogging allows you to articulate your interests and expertise, all while earning money.
While there are a ton of ways to make money with your blog here are the top 3 ways to consider:
– Passive Income – Passive income is being able to make money with very minimal to no work required. One of the top passive income streams with blogging is Affiliate Marketing and digital products.
Affiliate marketing:
Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular methods for bloggers to earn money.
This involves promoting other companies’ products or services through your blog and earning a commission for every sale that originates from your referral link.
To succeed with affiliate marketing:
– Choose affiliate products that align with your blog’s niche and audience interest.
– Disclose affiliate links to maintain transparency with your readers.
– Provide genuine reviews and insightful content that truly adds value, incentivizing your audience to use your affiliate links.
You can also sell digital products.
Digital Products:
Digital products are items you can sell online that don’t require physical shipping,
which makes them a great option for bloggers looking to generate income.
These products can include ebooks, courses, software, photography, and more.
The key advantage of digital products is their scalability; once created, they can be sold repeatedly with no additional production cost, leading to a potentially lucrative passive income stream.
High Ticket Items:
Another way to make income with your blog is by offering a High Ticket item.
Passive income and digital products are great and they can work as a perfect strategy to make quick sales from social media ext. however because of the lower cost for the products it will take longer for you to reach your income goals.
Which is why most bloggers should consider if they can offer a high ticket product or service to a portion of their audience to reach your income goals quicker as a brand new blogger
For instance, let’s say your income goal is to make $10,000 blogging.
You can put the information in a book and sell it for $15 however it’ll take you 10,005 book purchases to meet your income goals and let’s be honest as a brand new blogger reaching this goal will take time.
However, let’s say you take the same information you placed in the book and turn it into a done with you coaching program or a done for you service and charge $5,000 you would only need 2 clients to meet your $10,000 a-month income goal.
This is just an example.
You can charge higher or less.
however you can see the difference and the cool thing to note is that there is a premium client within almost every niche who’s looking
So you want to think about how you can turn your expertise into a more higher end product and solution because you can reach your income goals faster by offering a higher end solution.
Psst…I teach more about how to setup your own High Ticket Product in detail in my Called To Blog Paid Course Here 🥂
Step Five: Creating Consistent Content.
Next, you want to identify which primary content strategy you’re going to utilize for your blogging business.
But what is a primary content strategy? Your Primary content strategy is the content strategy that you’ll be utilizing the most to buid rapport and expertise, drive traffic, build your email list, and increase sales for your business.
Your primary content strategy can be in the form of:
So you want to choose the content strategy that you know you’ll enjoy the most and can be the most consistent on.
You also want to attach your primary content strategy back to your blog as a blog post even if you’re using little to no words.
The biggest misconception about blogging is that you’re only allowed to utilize text and that’s a huge no! Video, Audio, and Photos with little text are also effective.
Social Media
Once you’ve become consistent on with your primary content I recommend learning how to master 1 social media platform of your choice at a time afterward though you can be on as many as you like.
The time frame to master your primary content strategy will differ person to person however, I would say once you feel you comfortable with your content routine like “ok I got it” you should be able to add on mastering a social media platform from there.
You want to avoid trying to master multiple social media platforms at once to avoid overwhlelm and keep in mind with just mastering your primary content strategy you can reach 6+-figures.
*Once you’ve mastered your primary content strategy from there you will have some content to repurpose into social media post*.
*Also, you can still syndicate the content to multiple social media meaning simply sharing the link while your working on mastering your primary content strategy is fine.
So let’s discuss getting started with the three primary content platforms that I recommend most which are Blogging, Podcasting & Video (YouTube and or TikTok) and email.
Blogging
Blogging – Blogging is a powerful way to share content that inspires, builds credibility, and helps your audience reach their goals.
With consistent blogging, you will grow your website traffic and reach your targeted audience with your products and services thus increasing your sales.
In this blog post, I’ll be covering how to grow your audience/website traffic which will help increase your sales utilizing blogging in a text format.
So there are two things you want to master when it comes to building your audience and creating traffic with blogging one is consistency & the other is Mastering Google SEO and or Pinterest (which I consider to be a social search engine).

Youtube & Tiktok
YouTube & TikTok – YouTube is a great way to build rapport and trust through sharing content by utilizing the power of video, it is the 2nd most powerful search engine in the world.
Here are a few YouTube stats to consider:
“YouTube processes more than 3 billion searches a month. 100 hours of video are uploaded every minute. It’s bigger than Bing, Yahoo!, Ask and AOL combined,” according to (Mushroom Networks).
YouTube users are active and engaged with the platform. Among users, 62% access the site daily, 92% access the site weekly, and 98% access the site monthly.
According to Nielsen, YouTube reaches more US adults aged 18-34 than any cable network.
Also, 65% of people are visual learners
So adding video to your content creation process in some way though not needed can be a game changer and helpful for a larger part of your audience.
TikTok is a little different from YouTube being its platform is primarily short content based.
Currently you can create videos for up to 30 minutes on TikTok while on YouTube for up to 12 hours.
Here are a few Tiktok stats to consider:
Podcasting
Podcasting – Podcasting is a fast-growing industry and is perfect for creating diversity in the way you communicate with your audience.
Podcasts can potentially reach a different audience than people reach on blogs, YouTube, and social media because most podcast listeners listen to podcasts when reading isn’t feasible: when exercising and commuting, during meal prep and clean-up, etc.
Here are a few Podcast stats to consider:
Statistics show that 54 percent of podcast listeners are either somewhat or much more likely to consider buying from a brand after hearing its advertisement on a podcast.
51% of the US population has listened to a podcast.
49% of podcast listening is done at home 22% is done in the car.
Email Marketing
Psst…So before diving in quick heads up I’ll be referring to email marketing as email communication I just like the verbage better I don’t like the idea of connecting with our audiences only to market I prefer to think of it more in the social media approach if that make sense I’ll dive deeper on this topic in a later post 😉
However, let’s dive in shall we…
Email Communication – Adding email communication to your blog strategy can greatly increase your audience and reader interaction. Personalized, targeted emails help build a stronger connection with your readers, enhancing their loyalty.
Email communication can also raise your blog’s profile. By placing blog links in your emails, you drive traffic directly to your site. Use emails to update readers on new posts, features, or services, and to highlight older content that is still relevant.
The strategy for what email communication will differ per business because what may work perfectly for one persons audience may not work at all for anothers.
However, here are some general tips for email communication:
Turning your email into a place where people get more of an insight into your life and business in a personable way can be very helpful. Instead, of your audience only getting to see personal photos about your life, business, tips and lessons on your social media why not share via your email communication.
Giving your audience a sneak peak into your life and business via email communication and avoid only reaching out when you want to sale a product is a great way to build rapport overtime.
Mix value with personalization:
Think of ways you can add value while still adding a personal touch to your emails.
This can be done by adding what you’ve learned that month, aha moments, things you wish you knew prior to getting started with something, big wins and what you did to achieve them ext.
Reach out at minimum 1-2x per month starting out and can increase to 1x per week (for general emails not launch emails) and kinda keep an eye on how and what your audience responds to most.
Ok boss I want to hear from you below which step are you on with your blogging journey?
Ok, until next time. Cheers!
